Genesis Art Upcoming Sprints and Workshops

Join Liane Wakabayashi, international art teacher long based in Japan, and the creator of the Genesis Cards,  for a rare Genesis Art Workshop along the famed mountain viewing platform inside the Bahai Gardens, a World Heritage Site.

Daytime session: Wednesday October 4th

12:30-2:30  Observe and draw a panoramic view of the spectacular gardens, Cypress trees,  the historic German Colony and port like no other!

Evening session: Wednesday October 4th

6:30-8:30 Rare opportunity to be inside the illuminated gardens at night!  

Did you ever like there are so many places in Israel that you wish you could draw? Come learn how by taking your first steps in  this magical world heritage site, the incomparable Bahai Gardens. You’ll be guided how to do this from start to finish.

• You’ll be initiated to both the “frame and sketch” and  “sketch-without-looking techniques” that have been the foundation of Genesis Art Workshops for more than 20 years.

• Anybody can join! No art background required!

• You’ll discover how to speak more deeply than you ever imagined possible about the art that you make, simply by picking a random Genesis Card. 

Schedule:

             12:20/ 6:20 Meet at “the Balcony,” 61 Yefe Nof Street 10 minutes before the session starting time to receive the art supplies and simple lesson instructions.
            12:30/6:30 Descend down just two flights of stairs to the viewing platform inside the gardens. This is where we will all stand and draw. Please note that seating isn’t guaranteed due to the popularity of the gardens especially during this holiday week.
12:30-1:20/ 6:30-7:20 Sketching from the balcony  
1:20-1:30/7:20-7:30 Walk back up to the Louis Promenade to a nearby café
1:30-2:30/7:30-8:30 Continued drawing, picking Genesis Cards, group sharing, and discussion facilitated by Liane
BEFORE COMING—please note that there is a dress code to enter the Bahai Gardens. Clothes must cover the shoulders  and reach to the knees.

Class fee:
 100 NIS by Paypal or BIT 24 hours before the workshop includes premium sketchpaper, fine Japanese “Sai” color pens, framing tools and use of the Genesis Cards.
To ensure your spot, advanced signup is strongly suggested. 
Space providing, last minute signups are warmly welcome but to be able to give everyone full attention, the group limit is six people per session. Art supplies can’t be guaranteed for last minute signups.
*Entrance to the Bahai Gardens is free. Drinks at a nearby café are paid separately by all participants. Attendance at the café is required for a full and rich experience—and to bring your drawing to completion.
