Shoko Uchiya
Shoko Uchiya was born in Nagasaki City, Japan. She moved to France while in university and immersed herself in the culture and lifestyle, in Paris and while traveling in various parts of Europe. After returning to Japan, she worked at a publishing company, involved in editing specialized cooking and lifestyle magazines and fashion magazines. Shoko left the company when her first child was born. She dedicated herself to the education of her children, with their rich personalities. In her search for creative expression in educating people outside the boundaries of roles and conventions, she discovered Genesis Art. In 2008, soon after the opening of Genesis Art Lounge in Tokyo, Shoko was among Liane’s first students. Since 2012, she has been creating and exhibiting works of art using flowers as a motif to express her worldview. Based on her own experience, she became certified as a Genesis Art instructor with a desire to help people achieve balance in their minds and bodies.
Shoko: “Genesis Art Workshops promote change directly at the soul level. Just as quality counseling encourages one’s own inner sorting out of a confused and tired mind, or the abilities that Oriental Medicine and osteopaths offer to help people function in a more balanced way, Genesis Art can do the same. Each person has their own unique creative talents. That inner energy can be sublimated or it can be encouraged to flare up, visible as a bright and vibrant aura that surrounds you and your art. Awakening your inner creativity, your own energy, brings awareness of your true self, with more hope and light. Genesis Art workshops offer a precise process for that creative energy that all people have within to express. The lessons provide a practical methodology. It is far beyond relaxation and healing. Rest is certainly necessary. But the moments when people are truly alive is not in stillness. When your creative power is flowing well, you can clearly grasp the feeling alive.”
